The Center of Excellence (COE) of LSES is one of three established centers under the CERES project. The center is hosted at the premises of the Order of Engineers (OEA) of Beirut and is fully equipped with the necessary facilities, state of the art equipments, and furnishings to serve as a dynamic learning, innovation, and collaboration space.
The CoE features several micro-credentials courses spinning around Renewable Energies and sustainability. These courses cover topics such as Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Technology, Solar Thermal Technology, Carbon Markets, Renewable Energy Entrepreneurship, and Artificial Intelligence Applications in Renewable Energy Systems.
It is also the hub of a living lab allowing ecosystem stakeholders to initiate business ideas, develop business plans, make market analysis, mature energy projects and plans to uptake new firms and projects. The Center works in close collaboration with the partner Centers of Excellence in Greece and Palestine. Exchange of participants is planned to enrich joint activities, knowledge sharing and networking.
Beneficiaries of the center are University Students and Professors, Young Professionals, Employees, Engineers, Consultants, Inventors, renewable energy startups, Greenpreneurs, SMEs. The center is a hub of specialized workshops, training programs, and capacity-building activities fulfilling the need of the market to advance energy transition in Lebanon and commit to its quality.
